Peter LYNN Obituary

Engineer, engine enthusiast and kite-maker. Died in Ashburton on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at the age of 79, after a dogged battle with cancer. Married to the late Elwyn Frances Lynn (nee Brown) for 56 years. Father and father-in-law of Kirri, Robert, Pete and Katherine, Sarah and Richard, and Katrina and David, and grandfather of Felix, Rafe, and Cami; Rona and Hume; and Amos, Clara, and Frances. Son of the late Bertha and Robert (Bob) Lynn, and brother and brother-in-law to Elizabeth and Lindsay Holland. Messages to: The Lynn family, c/- PO Box 6035, Ashburton 7742. Donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated and may be made at the service. A service to celebrate Peter's life will be held at Ashburton Club and MSA, 231 Burnett Street, Ashburton, on Friday, April 17, 2026 commencing at 11.00am. Followed by a private cremation.
