Peter KNIGHT Obituary
Passed away peacefully at Park Lane Retirement Village, on Thursday, August 26, 2021, aged 91 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Patricia. Loved father of Peter, Terry, Jude and the late Debra, father-in-law of Ali and Ron. Loved uncle and chosen guardian of Gary Hammett. Loved grandfather of Andy, Olivia, Ben, Jeremy, Isabelle, Olliver, John, Scott and Sasha. Loved great-grandfather of Charlie, Florence and Adalyn. Many thanks to the staff at Park Lane for all their kindness shown to Peter. Messages to the family of Peter Knight c/- 19 London Street, Christchurch 8013. A private cremation has been held.

I met Mr. Knight when my friend Marc and I visited NZ in 2018 for hydroplanes racing. I knew he was a great guy, now I'm convinced. The Boat racing world lost a champion, heaven welcomed a legend. RIP my friend and thanks a lot for everything.
