Peter IRELAND Obituary

With broken hearts we said goodbye to Peter, who passed peacefully, surrounded by his family, in the care of Tuarangi Home, Ashburton, on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, aged 92. Dearly loved husband, best friend and soulmate of Gwenda (Rosebank) for 69 years. Treasured father and father-in-law of Doug and Maree, Geoff and Sandra, Jeanette and Chris Price, Ian and Cindy, and Maree and Peter MacLean. Beloved Pop of his 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Loved brother of Ann and Hugh Denys (dec), Margaret (dec) and Murray Eder, and Beverly and Leo (dec) McGlead. We acknowledge the wonderful staff in AAU and Wards 1 and 2, Ashburton Hospital, who cared for him so compassionately. We also thank the staff at Rosebank Rest Home, Princes Court and Tuarangi Home for their loving care of Peter, and thank you to the obliging staff at Netherby Pharmacy.
