Peter GOODING Obituary

Passed away peacefully on Monday, September 22, 2025, in Christchurch, aged 93 years. Loved husband of the late Jane, dearly loved father of Sharon, Tony, Mark, and Lisa, and a proud grandfather and great-grandfather. The family wish to sincerely thank all who have offered love and support, and the staff who cared for Peter with such kindness. Sport was central to Peter's life as a competitor and official. From being a timekeeper and organiser for the Hornby Cycling Club, helping establish Burndale Football Club, to many years as President and player at the Riccarton Racecourse Bowling Club. He was an award-winning gardener, a gifted writer of travel and cycling articles, and a lover of brass band music. He treasured the friendships he made through St Christopher's and St Barnabas Churches and the Russley Retirement Village. Peter lived with determination, generosity, and quiet strength. His legacy endures in his family and in the many groups he gave his time to.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered
