Peter DONNELLY Obituary
It is with enormous sadness that we announce the passing of our incredibly talented, unique, intelligent and loving, one-of-a-kind Peter, on October 13, 2025, aged 74 years, at Nurse Maude Care Home. Dearly loved son of the late Jim and Judy, father-in-law of the late Michelle, Petrina and Geordie, and Amber and Pete. Peter was beloved by his soulmate Pauline, brothers and sisters-in-law the late John, and Yoshimi, Stan and Deena, Linda and Rob, Kerry, Tina and Tony, and his nieces and nephews. Cherished grandfather of his 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Dearly loved and admired by his extended family, friends and followers for his 17 years of amazing sand arts on the beach at New Brighton. In keeping with Peter's wishes, a private cremation and farewell has been held. Our sincere thanks and gratitude to the doctors, nurses and carers at Christchurch Hospital, Burwood Hospital, Nurse Maude Hospice and Care Home for their love and care of Peter. In lieu of flowers to family, please send or donate to Nurse Maude.

I'm so sad that Peter's no longer with us in person. He was a good friend, and so easy to talk to, and so talented. I used to stop in at the Travis Rd BP after an evening walk, and Peter would love to read me his latest poems. Also, I'd known Peter for years prior when he'd ride past on his chopper. He was always up for a chat. My sincere condolences to his family.

My memories of Peter are, visiting him in his home with a friend.
