Peter COURTNEY Obituary
Passed away peacefully at home, in his 90th year. Dearly loved husband of Ena for 64 years. Loved father and father-in-law of Nick and Liz, Mike and Kate, the late Justin, Greg and Anne, Sue and Rob Speirs, Chris and Roxanna. Loved grandad and great-grandad of his 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Heartfelt thanks to Dr Colin Ding and the staff at Grahams Rd Medical Centre, Dr David Hepburn, Dr Avatar Raina and the caring staff at St George's Cancer Care Centre. Special thanks to the staff at Nurse Maude for their dedicated care and support. Messages to the Courtney Family C/- 19 London Street, Christchurch 8013. In lieu of flowers donations to Nurse Maude would be appreciated and may be made at the service. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Christ the King Catholic Church, 90 Greers Rd, Burnside, Christchurch, Tomorrow (Tuesday), at 10.30am. A Rosary will be held at the Church, This Day (Monday), at 7.00pm.

My grandfather was a very nice person always making the moment with his stories about his life, not a bad moment i have ever had with him, I remember when he was cleaning the pool and he feel in also many others that i will keep forever grandad was trully a hero to me and he will always be not another person in this world like him always friendly talking about the weather whenever i called from perth, it was a hard day for me and my family when we heard the news his memories with forever remain in my heart forever see ya in another life granddad

Courtney family, we'll miss Peter, he had a wonderful gift that when he spoke you wanted to listen. This precious gift amongst others has been passed onto his children. I wish I'd taken the opportunity to have more conversations but those I had are treasured memories. Thinking of you
