Peter CAHILL Obituary

CAHILL, Peter James:
Passed peacefully away after a courageous battle with cancer, on September 7, 2021, aged 65. Beloved youngest son of the late Tom and Chris Cahill (Oamaru), dearly loved husband and best friend of Sonya, beloved brother and brother-in-law of Kevin and Megan (Timaru), Barney and Sheryl (Timaru), Margo and Paul, their children Georgia and Charlotte, caring stepdad to Matthew and Nicole, Daniel and Tammie and the late Ben, darling granddad of Benji, Indi, Kortney and Ella, dearly beloved by all his nieces and nephews, and best friend of George Frith and Anna Osborne. We wish to thank the many carers Pete had over the years, especially Nurse Maude, Christchurch Oncology Ward B5, and the outstanding care at Merivale Retirement Village. Pete will be farewelled at a private cremation with a celebration of his life to follow at a date to be advised. This service will be invite only due to Covid number restrictions. We hope not to offend any of Pete's friends, so please help us celebrate his life and share in his final farewell, to be confirmed at a later date.
