Peter BROOKMAN Obituary

On June 23, 2025, passed away peacefully at Palm Grove Rest Home, aged 85, with loving family by his side. Dearly loved husband of 47 years to Barbara. A much loved and treasured Dad to Tracy, Erin and Kelly. Respected father-in-law to Brad and Piete and proud Grandpa to Elijah and Mila. Eldest son of the late Roger and Carol, brother of Roger, David, Robert and Russell. Peter will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. Heartfelt thanks to the caregivers at Palm Grove for their compassionate care of Peter, and the kindness they showed to the family during this difficult time. Also, a huge thanks to the caregivers at Hoon Hay Rest Home for their dedicated care of Peter over the past few years. Peter enjoyed his time with you all. Messages may be addressed to: The family of the late Peter Brookman, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. As per Peter's wishes, a private family gathering has been held.

I´m so sorry to hear this news. Pete was a much loved Antarctican and I was so blessed to know him while working at Scott Base in 2000/2001. We have been organising our 25 year reunion for August this year and we were going to see Pete there. I will ensure Pete is remembered at our reunion. I pass on my sincere condolences to all family, friends and colleagues.
