Dear Trish and family. I had the privilege of first getting to know Pete during our teaching college years in the early 1970's. Our paths next converged when we were principals of St Joseph's school and Rangiora New Life School respectively in the 1980's. Later in the 1990's we were appointed to Templeton and Hillview Christian Schools at about the same time so our personal contact resumed once again. Pete was a friendly, gregarious, faithful, encouraging and loyal person who always had time for others. We shared a common love of sport, family and education and I found him a person who always had time to have a chat and make you feel welcome. He had that rare ability to make other people feel important. I am very sorry that I was unable to attend the celebration of his life but I am so thankful I have been able to view the livestream of it during this weekend. My thoughts, prayers and love are with you at this time.

To Trish and the wider Bradley family. I was sad to hear of Peters passing. I remember such fun times as we grew up together. We shared the same date for our birthday and had our party together on more than one occasion when we were little. My condolences to you all and so sorry I was unable to be at the funeral.

So sad to hear of the too-early death of Pete.
'He is made one with Nature: there is heard
His voice in all her music, from the moan
Of thunder, to the song of night's sweet bird;' ...
'He is a portion of the loveliness
Which once he made more lovely:... '(Shelley)
He will be greatly missed, but what memories I have. Love and prayers to you all

My sincerest condolences to Pete's whanau.
I first met Pete and Trish in the aerly eighties when they came to the Coast and worked with my mum Beth Messenger. In the nineties I visited Templeton School and we reconnected. Pete was my appraiser a few years ago and I loved when we met and 'chewed the fat'. He was such a great guy and I valued all his wisdom and experience as a principal. We continued text contact through cricket and he always acknowledged when my son in law Henry played well. I will miss hearing from him over the Summer.
I would have loved to be there today to meet you all because I feel I know you as Pete always spoke so fondly of his boys and grandchildren. Take care.

To Trish and family, our thoughts are with you on the loss a great man. Remembered for being involved in all Eaton childrens early lives. Loving a chat and discussing sport and harness racing. Once tipped him a $37 winner, he was waiting on Monday at school road crossing to discuss the collect.

I met Pete and Trish in 1975 on a Sundowner Camping Tour of Russia and other European countries. From that time we have kept in touch. Tonight I sit treasuring many memories and feeling so very sad but also very grateful to know such a great person and share so many laughs over the years. My heart goes out to you Trish - you truly are soulmates. I'll be present in the morning 'across the ditch'. Much love to you all. Phil Billington

Peter Bradley (Mr Bradley) taught me at St Joseph’s Primary School in Rangiora in 1988 and 1989. I remember him so clearly and fondly as a wonderful teacher who had an immense and hugely positive impact on my childhood. I have never forgotten his broad smile, his sense of humour, his positive energy, and his unfailing belief in his young charges. He made you see you had potential, and then he guided you forward to your goal - such a gifted and generous man. Thank you, Mr Bradley, and heartfelt condolences to Trish and the family. So sorry I can’t attend the funeral tomorrow to pay my respects.

To Trish and your family we are so sad at Pete's untimely passing. He will be remembered for his generosity of spirit, his warmth and sense of fun. He was a pioneer in principal appraisal and supported me 14 years ago when I set up my own practice. I always enjoyed our lively conversations when we met. I am gutted that I am unable to get down for his funeral but Brent and I will follow the live stream. He was, to use one of his expressions,'a good guy'.
