You are all in my thoughts. Pete will always hold such vivid memories for me, from the times at Vicki Street when he visited grandad, or the various gatherings I saw him at. He was always so kind, full of life and had a hug and smile for me. Lots of love to you all.

Growing up in Greymouth was being with the Bells. We were all at school together, Peter was my age, my sister Yvonne worked in the shop, I was an ice cream boy. Peter was always warm and interesting and he and they were and remain special.

Dear Trish and Family
How sad it is for you all to have lost Peter. He will be deeply missed by you all and by those who had the good fortune to have had his friendship. We hope you can find some comfort in the coming days, months, and years by sharing the great memories and stories of your lives together. He is now at rest and we know he will have been welcomed with open arms by those already passed - the stories they will share ...!
We're sorry we can't be at Peter's farewell today but we will be thinking of you.

Trish and family. Condolences and love from me. Peter was a lovely man and in my mind will always be associated with the Bell family in Greymouth. Such fond memories of Peter and a great family. Although I hadn't seen Peter for some years my brother John and I spoke often about Peter and what was happening in his life. May the road rise to meet you Pete, May the wind be always at your back. Rest in Peace.

Dear Trish and family. I was so sad to hear of Pete's passing. Pete was a great mate and trainer to me. I always looked forward to my training sessions with Pete and equally as such pouring him a pint at the Miller. His ability to cure everything with garlic always amused Dad and I. I'm sure he will be having a beer or two with mum and dad now. Pete was a very special man to me. Much love Amanda Storey X

Sad and upset as I am at Peter's passing he was a top bloke and a great friend it also brings with it a degree of concern for me. As we were in the pouch together Peter's phrase our mother's had worked together and were good friends we felt we had met before we arrived. We went through every class together at school, left home for Wellington together, then Hamilton, where Peter met Trish, and they subsequently married. We also felt our journey would continue at the end, in which case I have three month's left. Nick Harnett.
