Pearl YARDLEY Obituary
Passed away peacefully at Burlington Village (Christchurch) on November 17, 2022; aged 98 years after a full and happy life. Much loved wife of the late Maurice. Adored mother and mother-in-law of Richard and Clare, and Jeanette and Arthur Ladbrook. Cherished nana Pearl of Lisa, Michael, Geoffrey, Stephen, and Jono; and great-nana Pearl of Joseph, Olivia, Mya, Bodie, Lola, Summer, Rosabella, and Thomas; and great-great-nana of Jack. Wonderful sister of Jenny Mawson (Noosa, Queensland), and the late John, Rex and Valarie. Highly respected and loved by all of Pearl's nephews and nieces.

Special thanks to Dr. Paul Peterson for his care of Pearl over the many years; and the staff at Burlington Village. Messages may be addressed to 'The Yardley Family,' c/- 19 London Street, Richmond, Christchurch 8013. A Celebration of Pearl's life will be held in the John Rhind Chapel, entrance from London and Whitmore Streets, Richmond, Christchurch, on Friday, November 25, at 1.00pm. Private cremation thereafter.

Pearl once shared a special memory of hers with me. It was during a time after the passing of Maurice a Monarch Butterfly landed on her hand and sat a while then flew off. She always related to the moment as a message from Maurice that he was OK. That memory gave her great comfort. May a Monarch be with you all today.
