Thinking of the family and close ones affected. I´m Still in disbelief and shock reading the news.
I was fortune enough to have learnt my craft/trade through Paul. An absolute legend with plenty of knowledge for the construction industry and North Canterbury rugby. I had the upmost respect for Paul. A guy who would go out of his way for his apprentices. We both tend to butt heads when it came to the site visit rugby chat. Plenty of rivalry between an Ashley and a Southbrook/oxford member. Alot of banter and laughs were shared for sure.
Very sad day, memories I will now cherish . Condolences to the family.

Memories of a great student at RHS, always wearing a cheeky grin, and keen to everything a try in PE. Remember his love for Southbrook cricket, and some local rugby as well (I think). It was opportune to recently run into Paul & Carla, to hear of their health issues, and share some support & memories. RIP both of you.
