Farewell, Uncle Paul and Rest in Peace.

Fond childhood memories of you buying me my first ever book (a Biggles story) as a Christmas present 60 plus years ago, and sparking a lifetime as a book enthusiast.

Many condolences to all
family and friends in New Zealand.

Of the many conversations I had with Paul I particularly remember him tell me of an incident on D Day as his ship lay off the Normandy Coast. It was a case of third time lucky as the third shell never came.
