Patrick SIMONSEN Obituary
Aged 79 years. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Patrick Ryan Simonsen, affectionately known as Simo, on Saturday, May 17, 2025 after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. Patrick was a beloved husband to Donna Maria, and a deeply cherished father to Megan, Ryan, and Nicholas. His sense of humour, wit, and unwavering love for his family will be remembered always. A celebration of Patrick's life will be held on Thursday, May 22 at 1.00pm, at the Hornby Club. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend and share in honoring his memory. It is a sad moment to hear that my senior school close buddy has passed away. We often rode our bikes together to Westport Tech (now Buller High). My sincere condolences to his surviving family. Sorry that I cannot be down in Christchurch to share your formal clebration of his life.
