O'CONNOR, Patrick (Pat) RNZEME, WO1, (ex Royal Marines). Of Carterton - On April 13, 2014, peacefully at Roseneath, Carterton, in the presence of family. In his 91st year. Dearly loved husband of Doreen and the late Joyce. Much loved father and father-in-law of Kevin and Fiona (Adelaide), Michael and Carolyn (NSW, Australia), Patrick Jnr, Tricia, and Dawn (Upper Hutt), Margaret and Bernie O'Loughlin (Wellington). Loved grandad of Catherine, Ainslie, Nick; Ryan, Jordan; Daniel; Sally, Amy, Katie; and his great-grandchildren. Loved and respected by Nigel Tandy, Merril, the late Kay and family. Much loved brother of Eileen Bradley (deceased), Maureen Sanders (England), and a loved uncle and friend to many.

In lieu of flowers a donation to the Sisters of Compassion, 2 Rhine Street, Island Bay, Wellington 6023, would be appreciated and may be left in the Church foyer. A Requiem Mass for Pat will be celebrated in St Mary's Catholic Church, corner King Street and High Street South, Carterton, on Tuesday April 22, 2014, at 11.00am, followed by burial at the Clareville Lawn Cemetery. Vigil prayers will be held in the Church on Monday, April 21, 2014, at 5.00pm.
