Patty Melton became my very first sister-in-law in 1962, when I married her older brother, Mike. Even though she was 8 years younger, I grew to love her and love and greatly appreciate her parents, Marvin and Courtney Melton. This close family greatly enlarged my experience of family, and I always remember them so fondly. As Patty grew older and married, had children, expanded her education and career, I was part of this growing family as we celebrated her and cheered her on. Even though over the years I acquired other sister-in-laws, step-sister-in-laws, daughter-in-laws and other in-laws of all kinds, Patty was my model of family life and relationships.
My deepest condolences and blessings to all the family and those who loved her.
With great appreciation from Judy Melton Griffith.
