Anne passed away peacefully on December 26, 2024, at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Ron Bierwirth, Anne was a devoted mother to Wendy (deceased), Jonathan, and daughter-in-law Therese. She was a cherished grandmother to Katie, Emma, and Finnian, and a proud great-grandmother to Ruby, Matilda, and Āri. Anne shared a close bond with her only sibling, Claire (deceased), and held Claire's children, Louise, Julie, Mark, Catherine, and Paul, dear to her heart. The family extends their deepest gratitude to the caregivers at Lady Diana Isaac Resthome for their compassionate care and support during Anne's final years. A memorial service to celebrate Anne's life will be held on Thursday, January 16, at 3.00pm at St Andrew's Centennial Chapel, Normans Road, Christchurch. Anne will be remembered with love by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort and peace to her family and friends.
