Patricia BALDWIN Obituary

We have only just found out of the passing of Patsy and are so very sad to hear this news, our deepest condolences to Pat and all your family, Patsy was such a lovely, talented lady and we will always be grateful when she sang at my Dads funeral, such a beautiful voice, Rest in Peace and God Bless all your family. I have just heard of Patricia passing. She was lovley care person and a pleasure to be with. I remember Aunt Kitty telling me how Pat rang her and told her he had met the lady he was going to marry. If I remember it right the met on a train in Wellington. They were a devoted couple. Please accept my sympathy for her passing. She sang at our father's funeral in Whataroa. I will always remember her. RIO

So sorry to hear this news. Mrs Baldwin was one of my favourite English teachers at Christchurch Girls High. Inspired my love of poetry and life long of reading. Rest well.

Patsy will remain in our hearts as the dearest mother and grandma. We were so fortunate to have spent time with her and Pat and so many of their near and extended brood (which we counted ourselves as part of). She will be sorely missed and I will forever have a tear of joy whenever the lilting refrains of "Dannyboy" are heard - no one sang it better than Patsy! Patsy, I knew you only for a short time. Within that time you showed me your strength, and your yearning to get better. You were particularly concerned about Pat and you desperately wanted to get home so that you could be with him. I could see how proud you were of all of your family, and I could feel the love of your family for you. You had an air of positivity and grace about you, it was such a pleasure to see your smile and converse with you. I would have liked to talk to you more. It's clear your family adored you and you will be sorely missed. RIP Patsy xx
