Pamela WILLIAMS Obituary

Living in Canada I have just (7/14) leant the sad news of Pam´s death. I extend my condolences to all her family but especially Jenny who I heard about throughout her life. She was so find of you Jenny and all the grandchildren. We met first in Dunedin, I stayed with her in Christchurch and Kawakawa Bay on my visits back to NZ. She was a wonderful friend, erudite, tremendous cool, loved a good joke. I shall greatly miss her.

Dear Jenny and Pam's family,
I first met Pam when we moved to Christchurch in 1989. She was a good friend of Grace Hollander whom I knew. Pam introduced me to the Cancer Society and invited me to serve on the Board. She and I would go to Chamber music concerts together and when we lived overseas, Pam met up with us in London. She was always thoughtful and caring of others. She loved her family and enjoyed her many friendships here in Christchurch. May she rest in peace.

Pam was my mentor and boss for a number of years at Christchurch Hospital. One of the many things she taught me which I took on my 40 plus year as a Dietitian is to always be thoroughly prepared for a meeting If you are not you are wasting everyone's time. A very wise woman and a good friend. Remembered with huge respect by Jill Nicholls

I thought Pam was a remarkable woman: wise, strong and resilient. I very much admired her. My sincere condolences to Jenny and family and to the extended Woodhams family.

Such a wonderful, amazing colleague and friend. Your wise words, support and encouragement to me during my time in leadership with the dietetic profession has been immense. You were more than a mentor and I thank you so much.
Paul and I valued our time together with you, good laugh and great conversation.

My thoughts are with you all. I remember many happy times at the Bach at Kawakawa Bay, and a lovely day at Pam's Paramatta home spent with her and Rosie many years ago. Sorry I'm unable to be with you on Thursday. Sending lots of love.

I'm so very grateful for Pam's mentorship and friendship for these last 43 years. The wise words, fun and care that were always on offer were a source of inspiration and courage. I've shared the same advice with so many others, and I always told them about the extraordinary woman who had given me that advice. Thank you Pam.
