I have been searching for Mrs. Cotton for a long time since I left New Zealand. I stayed in her house during my term break when I was a high school student. She was a lovely lady. She shared with me her interesting stories. I travelled to Nelson recently but somehow I couldn't find this post. Tonight, I suddenly googled and found this.
I will never forget her kindness, and of course, the time we spent in the croquet field (I think it was her favourite game and she introduced it to me).
Her kindness has changed the life of a little girl.
May she rest in peace.
I can be contacted at the email below. Please feel free to reach out to me. I'd be happy to connect with her daughters too.

Pam was my landlady for several years in early 2000's, and I remember her fondly .
I remember her as a quiet ,friendly lady, and I thought of her every now and then since those times opposite Brighton Beach in Christchurch .I am happy to have found this place to write some words about the nice lady whom I am happy to have known .
Travel well , Pam.

Please accept our deepest sympathy at the loss of your mother. We have some lovely memories of the time spent with her when Alex and Sue were young. A lovely lady. Much love to family from Owen and Kaye Pope in Townsville Australia.
