On Friday, July 4, 2025, peacefully, at Christchurch Hospital, surrounded by family, aged 88 and 3/4 years. Dearly loved wife of the late John, dearly loved mother of Felicity and Richard and mother-in-law of Fiona, treasured Grandy of Mason and Sophie, loved eldest sister of Jennifer, Francie, Felicity, Angela and Kerry, loved and treasured by all her family, and her many friends. To Olwyn and John's family we send our sincere condolences...we met them when they came to Turkey some years ago and have always tried to stay in touch when visiting New Zealand...
We loved spending time with them.
Most recently we saw Olwyn in February 2025 when we visited Christchurch.
Both Olwyn and John were wonderful company and inspiring people.
We're sorry we cannot be there to celebrate Olwyn's life and commemorate her passing.
