Olga JEKYLL Obituary

JEKYLL, Olga May QSM - Died peacefully at Christchurch Hospital, on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, aged 95 years. Loved sister of the late Phyllis Hayston. Aunt of Ted and the late Norma Clarke. Great-Aunt of Lynne Clarke, and Steve and Vicki Clarke. Great-Great-Aunt to Nicki and Cam Church, and Hamish Clarke. Great-Great-Great-Aunt to Julian and Clara Church. Our sincere thanks to the staff at AMAU and Ward 27 at Christchurch Hospital for their sensitive care over the past week, and to the staff at Elmswood Rest Home for their care over the past three years. A Memorial Service will be held in conjunction with the NZ National Fencing Championships in Christchurch at Labour Weekend 2014.

JEKYLL, Olga May M.B.E — On February 11, 2014, at Christchurch Hospital . Olga was in her 96 year. The Matriarch of NZ Fencing. She will be sadly missed by her Fencing Family. All the generations of young Canterbury fencers she coached, mentored, fed, transported, organised, cheered on, fenced with and cared for. Olga will be especially missed by her friends, fellow fencers and coaches at United, Geoff, Rob, Keith, David, Vik and Diane. Loved by Diane, Ken, Rachael, Hamish, David, Jazmin, and Jade Jet.
