Notley Cedric James:
Born Gisborne, November 11, 1937. Passed away peacefully in Christchurch on February 25, 2023. Dearly loved husband of Bernice for 61 years. Treasured father and father-in-law of Leigh and Paul, Erin and Bert, Russ and Penny, and Scott and Larna. Adored grandfather of Ethan, Ryan, Jordan and Tristan and partners; Ben; Isabella and Samuel; great-grandfather of Parker and Maxwell; and step-grandfather of Bejay and Isaac; and Tom and Madi. Loved brother and brother-in-law of John and Moira, and Natalie and Pat. The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation for the loving, kind and excellent care shown to Notley by the staff of Radius Hawthorne
and Christchurch Hospital's Medical Assessment Ward. In accordance with Notley's wishes, a private cremation has been held.
