McCONNELL,
Norman Robert John:
Formerly of Fairlie, died peacefully at home in Aspiring Lifestyle Village, Wanaka, with family, May 8, 2018, aged 83 years. Much loved husband of Anne, loving father and father-in-law of Suzanne (Sue) and Grant (Dunedin), Craig and Megan (Wanaka) and Andrew and Lynn Hobart. Very proud Grandad of James, Elle and George, Henry and Dougal, Heidi, Angus and Hugh. Brother and brother-in-law of Joy and Colin Powell (Lincoln), Ray and Carol (Te Anau), and the late Graham, Jan and the late Ross Powell (Winton), Beverley Trevor Pratt (Christchurch). Friend of Barry, Rachael and Maxine. A service to celebrate Norman's life will be held at the Wanaka Community Presbyterian Church, 91 Tenby Street, Wanaka, Monday, May 14, at 1.30pm, followed by interment at Wanaka Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Aspiring Enliven Palliative Care Unit are welcome and may be left at the service. With grateful thanks to Dr Mark Edmond, Dunstan Hospital, Hospice and District Nurses to enable Norman to be at home. Messages to: 17 Archie Douglas Drive, Aspiring Lifestyle Village, Wanaka 9305.
