Died peacefully on April 19, 2021. Beloved husband of Merran for 66 years, loved father and father-in-law of Anthony and Kerin, and Jenny and Jonathan, loved grandfather of Amelia and Brad, and Joshua, and great-grandfather of Oliver. Greatly loved by all his nieces and nephews. A private service has been held.

Haere ra e te rangatira Norm I am saddened to hear of Norman's passing. In the time I got to know him he had retired and started playing golf at Hagley golf club. He was such a likeable character always wanting to engage in conversations with you on matter's of the world.
Norm was a stalwart of the midweek brigade for many years, I first met Norm in 1987 we had both just joined on a special, they were running at the time.
He will be for ever remembered here at Hagley by those of us still playing from that time and there are many. I will remember him this morning at Hagley to the people who were touched by his generosity of soul.
