I was sorry to discover this obituary for Norm. I had planned to call on him to tell him I no longer had a land line and give him my cell number. Norm was a friend mentor and colleague of mine for more than forty years. He was kind and thoughtful and believed in progress in the Orthotic field in which he worked. unfortunately, I didnt get to hear of his passing and regret not going to his funeral.
Go well norm wherever you are.
I also want to pass on similar sentiments on behalf of Dave Bowick, also a colleague and friend of norm's.

My deepest sympathy to June and family on the passing of Norm. I got to know Norm at least 20 years ago when he played indoor bowls for Manchester Unity at the annual tournament at Kearneys Road and he was such a kind, lovely genuine and friendly person. We both always looked forward to meeting up annually for bowls and I would sometimes see Norm and June at other functions. My good friend the late Macie Tizzard also knew Norm well, not only from being a member of Manchester Unity, but also from when he worked in his profession making prosthesis limbs as Macie's husband had an artificial leg. My late Mother-in- law Ruth Crawshaw also went to Christchurch Girls High School with June.

It was very sad to hear of Norm's passing. I remember Norm for his hard work and support of Beckenham Methodist Church, serving on different Committees, work around the Property and attending Camps, Fellowship Meals and Indoor Bowls. Such a character, who will be missed from our Congregation. Rest in Peace in the presence of God. My thoughts and prayers are with June and the family.

May you also find comfort in the memories you shared with Norman. I remember him as a lovely man during the time I spent at Beckenham church. Please accept my deepest sympathies.
