Norma LUDEMANN Obituary

17 June 1927 - 29 May 2025

Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. Dearly loved wife of the late Harry. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of David and Anne (Oamaru), Jeffrey and Jan (Te Anau), Briar and John Walker (Oamaru), Callum and Judy (dec) (Ikawai), Paul and Victoria (Queenstown), Gareth and Jo-Ann (Five Forks), and Rowan and Patrick Aspros (Christchurch). Adored grandmother of Brent and Matthew; Sally and Nicole; Renée, Emma, and James; Brad, Katie and Ashleigh; Chase and Linzi; Caleb and Tayla; and Damien and Petra. Proud great-grandmother of 23. Respected Aunt, Great-Aunt and Great-Great Aunt. A celebration of May's life will be held at St Pauls Presbyterian Church, Coquet Street, Oamaru, on Wednesday, June 4 at 11.00am. Donations to Oamaru Hospice would be appreciated and can be left at the service. Messages to the Ludemann family, 14 Holmes Street, Oamaru. May will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. Her family extends heartfelt thanks to all who showed her kindness and friendship throughout her long and rich life, and to the Oamaru health professionals and carers who helped fulfil her wish to remain at home in her final weeks.

Passed away peacefully at home on May 29, 2025. Dearly loved daughter of the late Lucy and Norman Smillie. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Heather and Ray (dec) Barlow, Peggy and Ronald Glover (both dec), John and Dawn Smillie (both dec), Jill and Jim (dec) Wallace, Joy and Jim Hunter, Robin and Margaret Smillie (both dec), Helen and Harry Hames, David and Joyce Smillie. Loved aunt of all her nieces and nephews.
