Following on from Parnell Cricket Club´s post, The Sunday Barbarians Cricket Club in London were honoured to have been the third club that Nic, and longstanding friend Tim Hannan, both played for. It was an absolute pleasure having Nic, and all his many Kiwi friends living in London at that time, play for the Sunday Baabaas. Nic and his mates were always a delight to have in the side as they played with passion and a smile, and not a little skill.
Nic contributed hugely to those joyous occasions and we are very sad to learn of his passing. We send our heartfelt condolences to all his family and friends.

The Sunday Barbarians send our sincere condolences to Liz, Harry and Lily - and to all of Nic's family and friends. Nic was always a great bloke to have around - whether playing for the BaaBaas on a Sunday, or watching rugby over a few beers. We all have fond memories of playing cricket with him and getting to know him during his time in the UK. We will make a donation to Leukaemia and Blood Cancer Research in his memory. Rest in peace Nic.

I worked with Nic at foodstuffs and stayed in touch after I left. He had a wicked sense of humour which made working with him so easy. Rest easy mate. Taken way too soon, condolences to Liz, Harry and Lily and family. GBNF

Nic and I worked together at Foodstuffs. I enjoyed our time together, his intelligence, his care and his humour. He was a good man, devoted to his family and to making a difference through his work. Much love to you all.

I am so sorry to hear of the very sad news of Nic´s passing.
Nic was a much respected member of the Parnell Cricket Club in the 90s and one hell of a good guy.
He fought hard in the middle, never gave his wicket away and could always be counted on to dig in for a fight.
Our deepest condolences on behalf of the Parnell Cricket Club
and his cricket mates from the 90´s.
Rest in peace Nic
