Newell William: J.P.
On October 11, 2018, peacefully at Avonlea Rest Home, aged 81 years. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Joy, much loved father and father-in-law of Scott and Angeline, Todd and Leisa, loved father-in-law of Geraldine, loving granddad of Mariella, Duncan, Joel, and Alia, and loved son of the late Bill and Marie. Special thanks to management and staff at Avonlea for their loving care and support. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Newell Rogers, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. The Service to celebrate Newell's life will be held in our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, Tomorrow (Tuesday), at 2.00pm. Private cremation thereafter.

Special fond memories of the guy who just would never admit he couldn't do everything -shooting, climbing, fishing,cooking under adverse conditions,playing the sax(badly)Secretarial work etc etc.

Our deepest sympathies go to all of Newell's family. I first met Newell when he became a customer, and over the years he became a friend that I greatly respected. The world is a poorer place with his passing.
