Very sad to hear of Neville´s passing and sincere condolences to all his family.

In the 10 years I worked for NZ Young Farmers I had the privilege of spending time with one of the most humble, selfless and genuine gentleman I have met.

His passion and commitment through supporting, mentoring and passing on his knowledge in everything from stock judging, to debating or from farming to meeting etiquette, saw him become an icon throughout the Young Farmers Tasman Region.

Club, District and Region events often saw Neville judging, helping and socialising as it became clear that this man who remembered your name after meeting him once, was a one in a million top bloke.

I invited Neville to come and speak when we established the Lincoln Uni club, I had no idea that he would go on to make the club his second family nor how welcoming and respectful the club would reciprocate to Neville´s commitment, to helping each and every member grow.

Young people with a love of the land and the willingness to learn and become the best that could be is why Neville stayed involved in Young Farmers for all these years - I salute you, thank you and wish you a safe journey from the many of us who were privileged to spend time with you and become better people for having known you.
