Neville LUCAS Obituary

On July 27, 2025, in Christchurch, surrounded by family, aged 88 years. Dearly loved husband of Valerie. Deeply loved father and father-in-law of Deb, Mark, Sandra and Miguel, Nicki and Jacques, Kerri and Russell. Adored and cherished grandfather of Leticia, Mark and Gemma, Jazmine and Seth, Olivia and Mitch, Michael and Sharni, Georgia and John, Sam and Tanya, Olivia and Stephen, Antoinette and Pat, Lucia, and Lucas, great-grandfather to Hector, Sofia, and Jet. Messages may be addressed to: The family of the late Neville Lucas, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. In lieu of flowers, donations to FSHD Global Research Foundation, would be appreciated and can be made online at fshdglobal.org. A service to celebrate Neville's life will be held at Westpark, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on Saturday, August 2, at 10.00am, followed by private interment.

Sad to hear of Neville's passing and my sincere condolences to his extensive family. I knew Neville through painting where he became one biggest contractors in NZ. I also would catch up with him occasionally at the Bishopdale Tavern. A true gentleman with a big heart.

I was saddened to read of Nevilles passing and strangely enough he was in my thoughts recently. I knew him from Russells Flat as he only lived up the road from me many moons ago. My thoughts go out to his family at this time.

Sorry to learn of the passing of Neville. Please accept my Deepest Sympathy to Neville's family and all his friends. Neville and I were old schoolmates at the Russells Flat (1947/8) and Sheffield Schools (1949/52).
