From Russ Haines, on behalf of the NZ specials & sports cars drivers - owners group. Our thoughts are with you all on this day of remembrance for Neil. He had competed in many Racing events that has been well documented , but it should not be forgotten that he came out of retirement and came down to join many Younger drivers at the 1990s Waimate 50 Reunion and then the Dunedin oval circuit races. He slept, at the Circuit in his little camper Van and was always up at Dawn, and keen to Talk over the early Morning Cuppa. Thank you Neil, your legacy will endure.

What a legend, an amazing life spent, not only racing cars , and boats , but also building several racing cars. Always very friendly and welcoming, and definitely always really happy for chat. You will be missed Neil. We hope that you are sitting in the sun, with your black cap on , listening to the sound of engines revving .

To Rosalie and family. So sad to hear of Neil's passing. End of an era. A great champion. My Dad worked on the bodies of Neil's cars over the years and did pit crew for Neil at the Aranui speedway. Sorry we won't be there for the memorial as we are in Australia. Sue and Peter Lang, Maureen Cameron and the late Malcolm Cameron
