Neil ROONEY Obituary

Died unexpectedly but peacefully on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Oamaru Hospital, aged 83 years. Loved and loving husband of Å?none (Nonie), father and father-in-law of Louise and Alastair, and Corinne; grandfather of Caitlin, Alex and Isaac. Grateful thanks to family and friends, Dunedin Oncology Unit, Alzheimer Carers' Support Group, Harbour View Rest Home, and especially the care and compassion of the ED staff at Oamaru Hospital. Neil's funeral will be held at St Luke's Anglican Church, Oamaru on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 1.30pm.

It was a surprise to hear of Neil's passing. Neil was a real character and gentleman. Totally enthusiastic about Buicks, and the people that own them, and who are restoring them etc. I always enjoyed my chats and long phone calls with Neil. He will be missed. Deepest condolences to Nonie and the family.

So sorry and sad to hear of Neil's passing. Deepest sympathy to you Nonie, and all the Family. Neil was very much a Gentleman with an outstanding knowledge of Buicks and their history of ownership here in New Zealand.
