Natasha JOHNSTON Obituary
On Monday, September 27, 2021, peacefully at Christchurch Hospital ICU; surrounded by family. Most precious loved daughter of Val and the late Gavin Heaney (Gav). Loved granddaughter of June and the late Peter Johnston, and a much-loved niece, cousin and step-sister. Dearly loved by her many friends at AJ's, Aranui Handiscope and Henderson Home where Natasha had decided to live for the past 19 months. She loved her flatting arrangement, creating lots of new friends as a further extension of those who got to know her throughout the 46 years of her life. She brought much fun, joy and laughter to many. A huge thank you to the staff at Christchurch Hospital ICU and the many visitors during her short stay. Messages to the Johnston - Heaney family, c/- PO Box 111-01, Christchurch 8443. Natasha will be at home and invites all her friends to call in for a catchup and party, coke and chips, from this Thursday afternoon. A Celebration of Natasha's life will be held in the Canterbury Crematorium Chapel, corner of Linwood Avenue and Keighleys Road, on Thursday, October 7 at 11.00am. The current Covid 19 restriction limit attendees to a maximum of 100 people. Hi Val, I was so sorry to hear of Natasha's passing. I remember teaching Natasha when I lived in ChCh & taught at Riccarton High. She was a wonderful young woman then and I'm sure she remained so. You'll miss her heaps. Take care. Sue Osborne.
