MEHERNE, Nancy Evelyn:
Passed unexpectedly, on July 6, 2022, aged 92 years. Respected and loved wife of the late Doug, dear loved mother and mother-in-law of Francie and Dave, Terry and partner Eileen, and the late Patrick. Treasured Nana of Nathaniel and Amelia, Gareth, and Ryan; Liam; Samantha, Tiarny, and Renetar, and her great-grandchildren Hayley Rose, and Matthew. A dearly loved sister of Allan and the late Colin. Many thanks to the St John Ambulance staff, and the staff at Christchurch Hospital for their care of Nancy. In lieu of flowers, donations to Forest & Bird would be appreciated and may be made directly online at: www.forestandbird.org.nz/support-us/donate-forest-bird. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Nancy Meherne, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. A Celebration of Nancy's life will be held in our AvonPark Chapel, corner of Kerrs and Pages Roads, on Tuesday, July 12, at 2.30pm. Private cremation thereafter.

I would like to extend mgg sympathy to the family. I was in the same class as Francis at Sumner School and have fond memories of Mrs Merherne being a releiver teacher in our years at Sumner School. x
