Myra HOEKSTRA Obituary

On Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Radius St Helena's, Christchurch (aged 61 years). Only daughter of Geert (Gary) Hoekstra and Gloria Raureka Hoekstra (nee Wereta). Loved sister of Meri Crofts (nee Wereta) and Jane O'Driscoll. Special thanks to the staff and carers at St Helena's for looking after our Myra. A small service will be held in the John Rhind Chapel, entrance from London or Whitmore Streets, Richmond, Christchurch, on Friday, August 2 at 10.00am, followed by a private cremation.

To Myra's sisters I wish to offer my sympathy for the passing of their sister, Myra would have been my half-sister, though I never met her. Gary Hoekstra was my step-father from his first marriage to my mother. It is always hard to lose someone, especially at a young age.
