Murray WATSON Obituary

WATSON, Murray Raymond:
(ex Nelson College) B.com. Passed away peacefully on October 2, 2017, after a courageous battle with metastatic melanoma, with Barbara by his side, aged 67. Dearly loved only son of the late Ern and Vi Watson. Much loved partner of Di Stead, brother of Sandi (Sandra) and Russell Jones, Karen and Graham Haywood (Australia), and Barbara Watson (Westport). Devoted uncle of Ellauise and James Rolleston, Ilisa Jones and James Williams, Kristie and Lachlan Chambers and Rebekah Haywood. Affectionate great-uncle of Nikau, Manaia and Waitaha Rolleston and Avalon Chambers. Loved friend of Tui Elliott and a loved cousin and nephew. Grateful thanks to his large circle of friends that have supported him through this sad journey along with the AG team at Burwood, staff at Rannerdale, Radius Hawthorne and Nurse Maude.
'Life and Death are part of the same great adventure. Do not fear to die and do not shrink from the joy of life'.

Private cremation in accordance with Murray's wishes. An informal gathering and afternoon tea will take place for his family and friends, at his home, on Sunday, October 8, at 1.30pm.
