My condolences to the Thacker family. I was so pleased that I was able to meet this important link to the Pidgeon / Harris family

Barry and I loved taking the caravan to Okains Bay. We met Murray numerous times visiting the museum or attending Waitangi Day Celebrations. He was a generous man concerned that there would always be a camping ground for families to enjoy. He asked Barry to help with the museum - I am sure he asked everyone. He was a man of vision who wanted the history of the Bay to be preserved.
My good wishes to the family. Such a large presence in your lives will be a great loss.
