On October 13, 2024, at Dunedin Hospital, surrounded by family; aged 87 years. Much loved wife of the late Murray for 55 years, beloved mother and mother-in-law of Dave Hanan and Jill Rutherford, Alison Hanan and Paul Gillespie (London), and Jude (Bangkok), proud and loving Nana of Alex, Jack, and Jesse; and Luca, and Rosa Gillespie (London), loved sister of John Walsh (Sydney), Jennifer Scott (Auckland), and the late Patricia Holborrow (Wellington), loved aunty of her nieces and nephews, and a loved eldest daughter of Sir John and Lady Enid Walsh. A funeral service will be held in St Paul's Cathedral, The Octagon, Dunedin at 11.00am on Saturday, October 19, followed by private cremation. No flowers by request. Donations to the NZ International Science Festival would be appreciated.
