Muriel SMITH Obituary

Passed away peacefully on September 5, 2024 at Ngaio Marsh Retirement Village, Christchurch, in her 104th year. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Glenys and Warren Aitken, and stepmother of Margaret (dec) and Wayne. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Olga and George Petrie, Eric and Zoe Chambers, Vic and Betty Chambers, Len and Sadie Chambers, and Colin and Joan Chambers (all deceased). Heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at Ngaio Marsh who have cared for Muriel over the past 24 years and to her doctor, Paula Hanley, M.D., who provided outstanding care to Mum over many years. Flowers respectfully declined. A private cremation has taken place. A gathering to celebrate Muriel's life will be held at a later date.
