Dad you only came into my life recently. I will always remember your sly little smile when you thought I wasn't looking and I had said something or dressed a bit out of the box. My most recent memory was our last visit. Seeing you in hospital Sat up in a chair at the end of the corridor so you could see all the goings on and I'm sure checking out the nurses you were known by the staff as the Lord mayor. They all loved you in the hospital and the day we went to bring you home a beautiful nurse came to hug you goodbye told you to look after yourself and cried because you were her favorite patient. As we were leaving to go back home to perth you gave me a big hug and whispered in my ear "i love you and I know you are great for my son, look after him". Dad you came into my life when I was missing my dad, I grew to love you as soon as I met you. You opened your home and family to me. I will miss you for Those reasons and many more. And yes i will always be looking after your boy xxx
