Michael WEERSING Obituary

I was stunned to read of Michael's passing. I have known him since he was a student in my third grade class where he stood out as an outstanding person and student. His mother's family were neighbors since the 1950'w and his grandfather was my mother's doctor. They were an amazine family full of activities. With sympathy, Lela Busey (North Carolina)

I remember meeting Mike while he was winemaking at Neudorf, he had the same passion for German Riesling but on a mission to find the right spot to grow his vines and make his wines. He and Claudia found it. Sitting on the other side of the world Googleing Mike to see where he is now on which journey I find the above post. Mate you have achieved what you set out to do. I didn't know you for long but all these years later you gave still a huge impression. Cheers to you with a German Riesling I will find. My deepest sympathy to Claudia and family. Velten Tiemann

It is with great sadness that I heard of your passing Mike. You were an inspiration to me as a grower to do better and to embrace our terroir. Our thoughts are with your family and Claudia. It was a pleasure and a privilege to send you our Cabernet Franc knowing you would bring out the best in it. As one of our industry's most interesting winemakers you will be truly missed.

You and Claudia arrived into our lives on a bright sunny Neudorf day. Your smiles and enigmatic ways had us hooked from the start. What a privilege to witness you build your dreams at Pyramid Valley. We will cherish forever those golden days of laughter and light . Always in our hearts- loved more than you know by us all . Thank you for the magic you brought .
