Michael TAYLOR Obituary

TAYLOR,
Dr Michael Cecil:
18.09.1953 - 01.09.2020
Much loved husband and best friend of Kathryn, and precious father of Leah and Tim; Luke and Donna; Adrian and Lucy; and Pa to Theo, Mariella, Hazel, Bella, and baby 'Bob' (soon to arrive). Cherished eldest son of John and Margaret, and loved brother of Peter and Carolyn, Sharon and lan, Victoria and Lou, Christopher, and Timothy and Sharon. With joyful hearts, we surrender Michael to the care of our Father in heaven.
John 14:1-3:
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."
There will be a Memorial Service for Michael at 1.00pm Monday, September 7, 2020. We regret that due to level 2 restrictions this is by invitation only. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Nurse Maude.

RIP Michael, you will be sadly missed by the scientific community. Your dedication to the search for truth and justice is rarely matched, your diligent research into the science of blood pattern analysis and that rare gift of the seasoned orator will be your epitaph. I will miss you as a colleague and a peer.

My deepest Sympathies to you Kathryn and Family at such a trememdous loss. Michael was the greatest supervisor, mentor and friend you could ever ask for, he taught me how to write and read science, how to never give up no matter how long and difficult things might seem and he and a great sence of kindness and humour as well as the mantra of "why not" in the face of adversary. I will treasure all the knowledge and guidance he instilled in me and I will continue to pass his legacy and knowledge on to the next generation of students that I now have. I will miss you always Mike, a true inspiration and a remarkable gentleman. Rest in peace Mike.

My condolences to Michael's family and many, many friends. It was an honor to work with, and get to know, Michael during the tenure of SWGSTAIN. His many contributions to the field of bloodstain pattern analysis will be a legacy that lives on. I will miss Michael as a colleague but even more so as a friend. A true gentleman!

Mike I will never forget all the help you gave me at the start of my Christian life. You went the second mile and stuck with me, when I was shaky. You taught me the disciplines of the Christian life and gave me an incredible foundation. The Lord has since opened doors all over the world to preach the gospel, and I know that without you, that may not have happened. Thank you my friend. See you in heaven.
