Michael Peter (Mike):
At home in Dunedin, on Saturday, May 6, 2023; aged 61 years, surrounded by his loved ones. Husband and best friend to Claire (Austin), Dad to Cherry and Nic Hart, Joe, and Hannah Smellie, and Grandpo to Mikey, and Betty. Loved brother of Jenni and Hamish Dobbie, Tim and Ali, Matt and Ange Smellie. Teacher, Kaiako, Matua Kai and coach to many young people in Plimmerton, Porirua, Wellington, the Wairarapa, Australia and Dunedin. A celebration of Mike's life will be held in Taieri College Performing Arts Centre, on Saturday, May 13 at 1.00pm, followed by private cremation. Very sad to know this has happened , friends of brother Matt but knew Mike from way back , I do understand the grief felt to all family and wish you all sincere condolences

My sincere condolences to the family. What a terrible loss. My three boys just loved having Mike as their cricket coach at Masterton Intermediate School. He was such a lovely bloke. RIP Mike.
