Michael Desmond ROONEY

Michael ROONEY Obituary

On Wednesday, October 29, 2025 in Christchurch, aged 74. Loved and cherished husband of Mary, and father of Paul and Greg, and Nicola. Brother and brother-in-law of Madeleine and Trevor Growcott, Adrienne and (late) Ronnie Paterson, Barry and Theresa Rooney, Angela and Keith Kelly, and extended family. The family wish to sincerely thank all who have offered love and support in caring for Michael, especially the Hospice Palliative Care Service team, Nurse Maude Hospice staff and volunteers for their kindness and compassion. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the Late Michael Rooney C/- PO Box 39127, Christchurch 8545. In accordance with Michael's expressed wishes, a private cremation has been held and there will be no funeral.
