O'DONOVAN, Michael John:
On June 17, 2022, aged 65 years, Michael passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family after a short illness with cancer. Dearly loved husband of Lorna, father and father-in-law of Daniel and Ruth, Cherana and Steven Thomson. Loving grandad of Ben, Beth, Ethan, Makenzie, and Coll. Loved brother of Kathleen (USA). A Requiem Mass for Michael will be Celebrated at St Mary's Pro Cathedral, 373 Manchester Street, Christchurch, on Wednesday, June 22 at 10.30am, followed by interment at Memorial Park Cemetery. For those unable to attend Mass, you are welcome to watch via https://youtu.be/4sMNAD1XOg0 Please allow plenty of time for parking.

So sorry to hear of Mike's passing . I got to know him during his time in Old Belvedere RFC and he came to France with me as coach of an U16 team . Top man and an excellent coach . RIP

Our deepest sympathy to you all on the sad passing of your dear Michael. May he rest in peace. We have cherished memories of Michael when we were on holidays in Scotland in 2002. He showed us many interesting places. He also visited us in Ireland. He was a gentle giant taken far too soon.
