Michael HURST Obituary

Passed away peacefully at home in Kaikoura on January 21, 2025. Aged 82 years. Dearly loved husband of Hilary. Loved father of Niki, Bridget and Robert, father-in-law of Missy. Brother of Alan Hurst. Grandfather of Louis, Alice, Sam, Caitlin Jack and Alex. Messages may be sent to 302 Scarborough Street, Kaikoura 7300. A memorial service will be held at 2.00pm on Friday, January 31, 2025 at St Peter's Church, Torquay Street, Kaikoura.

You were so generous and chopped, delivered and then stacked a huge trailer of wood for me . You refused any payment of any kind and I was amazed at your strength and motivation and flexibility at nearly twice my age! I won't forget helping you stack the wood in the trailer and it had to be neat not just thrown in!! Thank you Michael for this memory of generosity. Rest peacefully now xxx
