Michael HIGGINS Obituary
(Mike) - Peacefully at home, on June 29, 2013, in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Helen MacKellar, and of the late Anne Higgins (nee Challies). Loved father and father-in-law of Cecilia, Paul and Carol. Especially loved Granddad of Conor and Tess. Mentor and friend to Julian and Kim Du Fresne, Sam and Nikki Du Fresne and ''Granddad Mike'' to Jaimie, Nathaniel, Samuel and Helayne DuFresne. Loved brother-in-law of John and Margaret Challies, Margaret (deceased) and Bill Coman and Hugh and Sue Challies. Also of Jim and Lyn Robinson, Mary Young, Don and Kay Robinson and Stewart and Margaret Robinson. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Nelson Hospice. Michael's Requiem Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, William Street Richmond, Nelson, on Wednesday, July 3, at 1.00 p.m. The interment will be at St Peters and St Pauls Churchyard Cemetery. A Rosary will be prayed Tuesday Evening at 7.00 p.m.

HIGGINS, Michael John (Mike) — Son of Jack and Greta Higgins, brother and brother-in-law of Margaret and Lindsay Lett; Bill (deceased) and June; Veronica Higgins and Noel Consedine; Jim and Meryl; Pat and Ginny; Jane and Kevin Whitlow; Cath Burrows and Kevin Ross.
