HARTSHORN,
Michael Philip:
Professor Emeritus of University of Canterbury D. Phil. (Oxon), FRSNZ, FNZIC. On December 15, 2017, at Nurse Maude Hospice, aged 81 years. Dearly loved husband and soulmate of Jackie. Proud father of his four sons and their families: Richard, Susie; Ben, Jacob, and Todd; David, Sarah; Alex, James, and Tom; Andrew, Jing; Tim, Isabella, Olivia, and Kate; Chris and Phoebe. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Michael Hartshorn, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. In lieu of flowers, donations to Nurse Maude Hospice would be appreciated and may be made at the service. The Funeral Service for Michael will be held in our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on Thursday, December 28, at 2.00pm. Private cremation thereafter.

Dear Jackie, it's with sadness that we heard of Michaels departure from this world.We had the privilege of knowing you both in those early years when families were young, even Ilam was new. It was good working with Michael, lots of exciting things happening even though it seemed like being in a pressure cooker, but that's life in a scientific community.
Our thoughts, prayers are for you Jackie at this time.
