We had our differences when I worked for Vela Fishing Ltd but always remember as a kind gentleman in the fishing industry.

So sad to read of Mike's passing .I last spoke to Mike last year in Clyde Road. We had a lovely catch up and as usual covered the both families progresses.

On behalf of Nelson College, Nelson College Cricket, Nelson College Old Boys, and our Headmaster condolences on the passing of Mike. He was a great Old Boy and loved hosting us at his beloved Willows Cricket Club and we loved our many times down there with him. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

Mike is one of the most memorable men I have met in my life. He lived his life selflessly with an indomitable desire to help others, whether it be through the Willows or charities such as the Salvation Army. In St Paul's memorable words, he has run the race' with distinction. With grateful thanks from all his many friends at Wellington College. Lumen Accipe et Imperti!
